Artificial Intelligence is often described as the next industrial revolution and will change the way we all live, interact and work. If you feel unprepared or curious about the AI revolution and how it might impact your life, join us for our next Tea & Talk event for an informed discussion about Artifical Intelligence. Our guest speakers will be Dr Kerry McInerney and Dr Phillip Young.

Dr Kerry McInerney (Ngāti Ruanui) is a Lecturer in AI at the University of Auckland School of Computer Science and an Associate Fellow at the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (LCFI) at the University of Cambridge.

Dr Phillip Young is an Emergency Medicine Specialist based at Middlemore Hospital. Alongside frontline emergency care, he teaches Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Bedside Ultrasound and more recently, facilitating the implementation of AI into Emergency medical practice.

Dr McInerney and Dr Young will be speaking on how to use AI safely, its associated pitfalls and how to navigate an AI-driven future. Together we’ll discuss what it means for social connections, critical thinking and creativity in our young people and older generations.
